He wasn’t! What is the question you ask? Simple was great-gramps a Veteran. Lucky for us he was to young for WWII. He married in 1948 the conflict in Korea started in June of 1950. At that time they were not drafting a man with a family. There was no other reason to keep him out of being drafted. He had no medical problems and was the right age for the draft. At the time the draft age was 18 1/2 and the service requirement was 24 months. I was born in June of 1951 and Aunt Kate came along in January of 1953. The war ended with the armistice agreement in 1953.
