Strife

There was strife in the life that we shared
Yet still you were one of the loves of my life

I carried you under my heart
And loved you right from the start

You pulled my heart strings
And stretch them taut
With every battle that we faught

I then carried you within my heart
Because I loved you from the start

Some days were very sad
But we struggled through


And I knew you carried me within in your heart
And that you loved me from the start

How High is the Mountain

How high is the mountain   How deep is the snow  How green is the valley  Where the wild rivers flow.  The song of the bird that floats overhead   Sings to my soul whispering words long unsaid.  The flash of lightening, the booming clap of thunder   Belies the gentle drumming of falling rain   The soft muted colors of a rainbow  Send shivers of wonder straight to my soul.  The tall blackened sentinels from a long ago fire.  Standing guard over this land  While the forest floor begins to glow  With returning flowers to soothe my soul.
